A Cool Way to Reuse Your Cups

Whether you’re treating a sprained ankle, overuse injury, or deep muscle contusion, applying cold therapy is one of the most important first steps. Instead of reaching for a bulky ice pack, try this clever and eco-friendly hack: reuse your Anthora paper coffee cup to create a DIY ice massage cup.

Ice massage therapy offers a powerful combination of benefits: it reduces swelling, alleviates muscle pain, improves circulation, and accelerates healing. Unlike a static ice pack, an ice massage lets you apply controlled pressure and movement directly to the injured area—similar to a gentle sports massage, but colder.  Repurpose your used Anthora coffee cup with this quick and effective method:

Fill the cup with water.  Put it inside a freezer and allow it to freeze.  Once the cup is solidly frozen, take it out, peel out a roll from the bottom to expose the ice at the bottom.  Hold the unexposed part of the cup and apply the exposed ice to the area that you need to ice and start circularly massaging the area.  Once the exposed ice has almost melted, tear up another roll of the cup to expose another section of ice.
